A. Emelianenko takes fight on short notice

AMC Fight Nights President announced that Alexander Emelianenko will replace Vyacheslav Vasilevsky in a duel with Marcio Santos. The meeting will take place on November 27 at the AMC Fight Nights 106 show in Syktyvkar, Russia.

ā€œOn the secret line, we were informed that Vyacheslav Vasilevsky was withdrawing from the fight against Marcio Santos - he fell ill. How did you get sick? Find out from him. 40-year-old Emelianenko spent the last fight on September 18, defeating Artem Tarasov on points in a bare-knuckle fight.

As for Santos, the 32-year-old Brazilian had his last fight in August against Artur Huseynov. The meeting ended in a draw.
