One of the best prospects in the light middleweight division Australian Tim Tszyu (20-0, 15 KOs) proved his potential with a unanimous decision victory over the Japanese Takeshi Inoue (17-2-1, 10 KOs) in the main event in Sydney.

Tszyu is the son of the legendary champion Kostya Tszyu and confidently applied pressure over almost the entire twelve-round distance, skillfully punching and attacking with various combinations. Inoue took a lot and put up incredible resistance, but could not cope with the onslaught of the opponent, although he himself noted accurate blows several times. In the twelfth round, Inoue was counted by the referee. After the final bell, the judges counted it 119-108 and twice 120-107 in Tszyu's favor.

Tszyu is number one in the WBO rankings and is now aimed at a fight with the champion of this version Brian Castano, as well as a fight with IBF, WBA and WBC champion Jermell Charlo. However, Castano and Charlo are likely to cross gloves first in revenge. Their first fight in July this year ended in a draw.
