At the request of the promoter of Ben Shalom BOXXER, Chris Arreola (38-7-1, 33 KOs) is now considered a prime candidate for fight with Hughie Fury (26-3, 15 KOs), a cousin of WBC heavyweight champion.
Arreola last fought in May, losing to Andy Ruiz on points after the short sport pension which he left after his victory over Adam Kownacki. In the course of the fight Arreola managed to send Ruiz to the canvas. During his career, three times Arreola challenged world titles: in the battle against Vitali Klitschko, Deontay Wilder and Bermane Stiverne.
"[His father and coach] Peter Fury wants Arreola, and we think it's a great fight," Shalom said in an interview with Sky Sports. "Arreola performed really good against Andy Ruiz Jr. We think it's time for Hughie to step up their strength after an impressive victory over the Hammer. Many potential adversaries do not want to do with him. But you'll see it in large battles. You will see how he fights. The next is to become an American, and we look forward to Arreola."
Earlier there was an information that Hughie Fury team talks about making the next year meeting with Dereck Chisora, which next month will fight against Joseph Parker.
Hughie Fury, who lost the fight for the WBO title with Joseph Parker defeated Mariusz Wach and Christian Hammer in the last two fights.
