Khabib Nurmagomedov's brother detained by police in Moscow

Russian mixed martial arts fighter and cousin of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, has been detained by law enforcers in Moscow. It is reported by numerous sources.

Nurmagomedov, 23, is accused of running over a police officer near an airport checkpoint in Kaspiysk. The athlete and Kamil Idrisov, who was with him, reportedly flew to Moscow after the incident, where police detained them.

Later telegram channel Mash reported that the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a case against Nurmagomedov under Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - Use of violence against a representative of the authorities.
