On December 11 in France, WBA bantamweight title fight between Arsen Goulamirian (26-0, 18 KO) and Alexey Egorov (11-0, 7 KO) will take place. The tender for the event was won by the promoter organization World of Boxing, offering a sum of $210,000.
According to the World Boxing Association regulations, the money would be split 65 to 35 in favor of the champion which means $136,500 for Goulamirian and $73,500 for Egorov. After the bidding was completed, the expected venue for the fight was Russia, but Egorov will end up having his first championship bout in France.
For Goulamirian, it will be a return to the ring after a two-year break. In his last fight, the Armenian defeated Constantin Bejenaru by technical knockout. Egorov also had a big downtime - he last fought in March last year.
