WBC's Mauricio Sulaiman confirmed in an interview with talkSPORT that his organization will soon demand a heavyweight championship fight between Tyson Fury (31-0-1, 22 KOs) and Dillian Whyte (28-2, 19 KOs).

"The WBC's position was very clear, the winner of the Fury-Wilder fight was given a month to sign a unification contract with Usyk, who defeated Joshua. If the parties fail to do so, we'll go back to the subject of the mandatory challenger, interim champion Whyte," Sulaiman said.

"We have already received medical confirmation from the BBBofC that Whyte was unable to fight Wallin due to injury, so we are moving forward as planned," the World Boxing Council head added.

A few days ago, Dillian Whyte's promoter Eddie Hearn announced that according to his information, his boxer's fight with Tyson Fury will be officially scheduled at the November WBC congress in Mexico.
