On December 10 in France Tony Yoka (11-0, 9 KOs) will fight his next bout in the super featherweight division. The 29-year-old boxer's opponent could be Martin Bakole (17-1, 13 KOs), who has had just one fight this year, beating Haruna Osumanu.
Yoka recently informed the European Boxing Union that he is leaving the European Union title vacant. A few weeks earlier, the Frenchman notified the management of the European sanctioning body that he would like to be nominated as a contender to face Marco Huck for the European title. However, the EBU did not support the boxer's request and Agit Kabayel was appointed to fight Huck.
Yoka, ranked #6 in the IBF, #10 in the WBC and #15 in the WBO, has had two winning fights this year. The boxer from France also plans to make regular appearances at boxing nights in the United States next year.
