Josh Taylor (18-0, 13 KOs) suffered a knee injury and will not be able to prepare in time for his fight against Jack Catterall (26-0, 13 KOs), scheduled for December 18. The fight for IBF, WBA, WBO and WBC super featherweight belts will be moved to February 26.
This is yet another date change for the fight which should be the main event of the evening in Glasgow. It was previously reported that the bout would take place in the second half of November. Catterall, 27, will enter this bout as an official challenger for the World Boxing Organisation belt. The Englishman had his last professional fight last November.
Taylor was supposed to have three fights this year, but the Scotsman ended up stepping into the ring only once. The Briton defeated Jose Ramirez on points in May.
