Promoter of former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs), Eddie Hearn continues to criticize WBC champion Tyson Fury (31-0-1, 22 KOs), who successfully ended his trilogy with Deontay Wilder on October 9.
"Now it's very difficult to say anything negative about Fury because you'll get labeled a rabid critic for doing so. However, it's strange to me that you can go up in the rankings, regardless of weight classes, while still beating the same opponent," Hearn said.
"Let's look at the ESPN rankings: Fury beat Wilder and suddenly moved up to fourth place in the P4P rankings, up from sixth. To be one of the greatest super featherweights in history, you have to regularly beat the best boxers of your era," the Matchroom Boxing head added.
In his next fight Fury could fight interim champion, Hearn's fighter Dillian Whyte, provided Whyte defeats Otto Wallin on October 30. Joshua is scheduled to have a rematch with his winner, Alexander Usyk, this spring.
