On Saturday in Riga Mairis Briedis (28-1, 20 KOs) stopped Arthur Mann (17-2, 9 KOs) in the third round, defending his IBF cruiserweight title.

According to Briedis' promoter Kalle Sauerland, there are three scenarios: a unification bout with WBO champion Lawrence Okolie (17-0, 14 KOs), a mandatory belt defense against Jai Opetaia (20-0, 16 KOs) or a heavyweight fight.

"Mairis has already proven that he is #1 at his weight class, now it's time to set up fights that will cement his achievements. 2022 will be a great year for him!" Sauerland assured after his fighter's win on Saturday.
