Gabdullin: "Alexander Emelianenko was a unique fighter"

Radmir Gabdullin, president of the MMA Union of Russia, commented on Alexander Emelianenko.

"What advice would you give to Alexander Emelianenko? If I understood what's going on in his life right now, I could say something definite. When we trained in the same team, Alexander was the most unique fighter. I personally stood in pairs with him and fought with him. At that time, it was hard to name such a versatile athlete. If he had continued to train, if he had stayed on track, he would have been the coolest champion in UFC history. Do you agree that Alexander was more talented than Fedor? I wouldn't agree with that. Perhaps Alexander has the same talent, a talent for learning. But there's never been a fighter on our team who can use the accumulated knowledge as effectively as Fedor," RT in Russian quoted Gabdullin as saying.
