Emelianenko on Monson fight: "He will answer for all the deputies"

Russian mixed martial artist Alexander Emelianenko reacted to the announcement of his fight against American Jeff Monson. The bout will take place on bare knuckles as part of the Hardcore Fighting promotion.

"Alexander Emelianenko has accepted Jeff Monson's challenge for a bare-knuckle fight at Hardcore Fighting," the promotion's head Anatoly Sulianov wrote on Instagram.

"Send complaints to the deputies, Monson will answer for everyone in the ring!" Emelianenko replied in the comments.

In 2018, Monson obtained Russian citizenship and became a deputy of Krasnogorsk.

Emelianenko, 40, had his last fight on September 18, winning on points against blogger Artem Tarasov. The encounter took place under MMA glove fist-fighting rules.
