Bellator champion Vadim Nemkov revealed the physical condition of his legendary mentor Fedor Emelianenko.
On October 17 Nemkov will face Bellator Grand Prix semifinal bout against Julius Anglikas. Emelianenko will face Timothy Johnson on October 23 in Moscow.
"We each had a different plan. In sparring, we went out and prepared for our opponent. After all, when you prepare with a partner who doesn't prepare for his fights, he works for you. And in other cases, everyone works in their own way. So that was the only difference. And so we sparred with Fedor, and it was OK.
"With Fedor we also sorted out the opponent and prepared a plan for the fight. So Fedor was involved in my training.
"He got a good form. He fought 8-10 rounds with us, boxed every Friday for five rounds of five minutes and sometimes six on six. He's always been in the lineup! I think he works harder than we do. You come to the training, and he is already working on the rope or working on his tricks. He has to be in good condition. He's hitting just as fast and fast and in a series," Nemkov said.
