Russian mixed martial arts fighter Magomed Ismailov expressed confidence that his upcoming bout with Vladimir Mineyev will go the full distance.
"As Mineyev said, I'm an average fighter, but that doesn't rule out the fact that I'll fight him in a rematch. He's going to have to worry about it a lot - and I'll take him down.
I've had consecutive wins where I've won by pain. I haven't looked for pain fights in recent fights, but that doesn't mean they aren't in my arsenal.
I feel like the fight will go five rounds. Five good rounds and the judges' decision," Ismailov said in an interview with Ruslan Gumilev's YouTube channel.
The rematch of Mineev - Ismailov will take place on October 16 at AMC Fight Nights 104 show in Sochi.
Recall, the first meeting of these fighters took place in October 2018 and ended in a draw.
