State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov commented to the press on his defeat in a duel with Nikita Dzhigurda.
"I had no choice, he said: come on out. I could either look like a coward who would refuse or for the first time in my life take the gloves. I've never been in the ring in my life, never boxed at all. So I came out to get kicked in the ribs, and I did. It's all right. I mean, I know I'm not ready at all, it's stupid to expect that. It's a signal to me to take care of myself. But I think I need to think with my head, not knock myself out. I'll work out and maybe I'll give a rematch to Jigurda or something. But it was very dangerous, I can honestly say, very dangerous. I've been in a lot of hot spots, and to sit in the trenches I'm not afraid, but here... It's not really my thing. I guess they wanted me not to get up at all. I sat on my heel, but I was able to stand up," Milonov said.
