David Avanesyan (28-3-1, 16 KOs) defeated Liam Taylor (23-2-1, 11 KOs) by TKO in the main event of the evening in London. Thus, the Russian defended his European welterweight title.
33-years-old Avanesyan knocked down his opponent in the very first round. In the second round, Taylor tried to keep up with his opponent, but he missed a strong left hook, was clearly hurt and the referee stopped the fight.
On the same night, Krzysztof Twardowski (9-3, 6 KOs) lost on points to Richard Riakpor (12-0, 8 KOs). After eight rounds the referee gave the victory to the Briton with the score 79-72.
