The half-brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury Tommy Fury (7-0, 4 KOs) defeated Anthony Taylor on boxing night on Showtime on August 29, and a few hours later got into a hallway fight with the winner of the main event of that tournament, the winner of former UFC champion Tyron Woodley, Jake Paul (4-0, 3 KOs). Tommy's promoter Frank Warren said today that negotiations have begun for a Fury vs. Paul fight.

"I want to fight a real boxer. Tommy Fury tops my list of possible opponents. He knows how to fight, he's undefeated, he has millions of followers on Instagram. He has the blood of a legendary boxing dynasty in his veins. He's my age, we're the same height. Let's make this fight," popular blogger Paul said a few days ago, and today his words were confirmed by promoter Frank Warren.

It's very likely that Paul vs. Fury bout in the U.S. or U.K. fans could see as early as this year, although Saturday night's crushing criticism of Holyfield vs. Belfort might cool down the trend of fights involving bloggers and old legends a bit. However, it's worth noting that Jake Paul's career so far has been impressive, it's being handled with great business savvy, and the clash between the American and Fury is likely to draw big emotions from potential pay-per-view buyers.
