The spectacle of beating Evander Holyfield was to the taste of few boxing fans. But, on the other hand, there is an upside to the 59-year-old legend's painful return. Prior to the fight, there was constant conflicting information in the media as to whether the bouts of the evening in Hollywood, Florida, would be official or exhibition ones. A few dozen hours before the tournament itself, it was announced that the result of the fight would be put on the record of Holyfield and Vitor Belfort (1-0, 1 KO). In the end, however, the fight turned out to be an exhibition affaire.

The plus side of this situation is also that Holyfield, who has many illegitimate children, lost most of his assets to alimony payments, and the fight against Belfort earned a decent pension supplement. According to some reports, Holyfield will receive more than $5 million for Saturday's fight. With all profits taken into account, the American's purse could rise to $6 million.

One can only hope that this money is enough for the boxer for the rest of his life and that he will never have to return to the ring again.

Holyfield's Pride suffered, but apparently it wasn't enough to keep him from challenging Mike Tyson again. The only four-time world heavyweight champion in history lost to the MMA fighter in 109 seconds, but is still eager to fight "Iron Mike".

"I wasn't hurt, the ref rushed the stoppage," the former world heavyweight champion complained after losing to Belfort.
