"It's funny, everyone is talking about our rematch, but I'm not going to give it," said Teofimo Lopez (16-0, 12 KO), who doesn't want to fight Vasyl Lomachenko (15-2, 11 KO) again.

According to the American he has very different plans, on October 5 he will defend IBF, WBA and WBO belts against George Cambosos (19-0, 10 KOs) and the Ukrainian is determined to fight another former light-welterweight champion, Richard Commie (30-3, 27 KOs), on December 11.

Promoter Bob Arum, who works with both boxers, hopes he can get a rematch next year, though it won't be easy, as evidenced by the young lad's latest statement from Brooklyn.

"I'm putting the Lomachenko fight behind me and looking to the future. I'm looking for bigger and better fights like the one with Josh Taylor. There will be no rematch with Lomachenko. He lost to me and we know they wouldn't give me a rematch if I lost. So why should I give them a chance? I won't do it," Lopez stated.
