Oscar Rivas (27-1, 19 KOs) bout against Bryant Jennings (24-4, 14 KOs) for the WBC World Bridger title has once again been postponed. The fight was scheduled for September 18 in Canada.

Rivas' promoter Yvon Michel announced that the fight is now scheduled for October 15 or 22. The change in the date this time is due to the health condition of Jeanette Zacarias Zapata, an 18-year-old boxer who performed at one of the Canadian nights last week.

"We thought it was nonsense to organize another boxing night anytime soon, given what's going on with Jeanette's health right now. No one would feel comfortable even if Rivas has to wait more for another world title fight,"  Yvon Michel said.

The upcoming bout will be a rematch of the Janning-Rivas fight that took place in January 2019, which was won by a technical knockout in the twelfth round by the Colombian, who resides in Canada. The winner of their second fight will face the mandatory challenger appointed by the World Boxing Council, Evgeny Romanov of Russia.
