Former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier spoke about his future plans.

"We'll see what happens. I'm not going to sit back and wait for a fourth fight against Conor. If it makes sense, we'll do it again. I'm just training and living my life. I'm having fun trying to grow as a martial artist. So far I haven't talked to the UFC about a title fight or a date. Anything is possible, but I will choose what makes the most sense.

"Conor has a long way to go to repair his broken leg. But if he's committed, maybe he'll make it. Time will tell," Poirier said on The MMA Hour.

Poirier defeated McGregor by technical knockout on July 11 at UFC 264 after the Irishman broke his leg in the first round.
