Hearn wants to sign Olympic medalists

Eddie Hearn said he has already begun negotiations to sign professional contracts with British Olympic medalists in boxing at the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics. In Japan, athletes from the British Isles have won six medals.

The first Olympic athlete from Tokyo to join Matchroom Boxing was Peter McGrail. His professional debut will take place on October 9 at an evening in Liverpool.

McGrail did not win a medal in Japan, and Hearn targets Lauren Price, Fraser Clark, Pat McCormack, Carris Artingstall, Ben Whittaker and Galal Yafai, whose older brother has been fighting for Matchroom Boxing for several years.
