Kevin Barry, the former coach of the former heavyweight champion Joseph Parker of New Zealand, is confident that mandatory WBO contender Alexander Usyk has all the skills to impose a very tough fight on WBA, WBO and IBF champion Anthony Joshua.
“I think that with his mobility, the angles at which he fights, Usyk is completely different story than Joseph Parker. Therefore, I believe that his style will be more difficult and inconvenient for Joshua. Usyk is very good on the legs. He is very good at changing angles, excellent positioning to make you miss and counterattack. I see it will work for him in the fight against Joshua.
"I will even return to Joshua's fight against Povetkin. Alexander at the end of his career, despite the dropped speed of the legs and arms, was able to hit Joshua in the starting rounds. Because of this, I think Usyk has a very good opportunity to give Joshua an extremely tough fight,” Barry said in an interview with Boxing Social on YouTube.
