Joe Joyce (12-0, 11 KOs) faces Carlos Takam (39-5-1, 28 KOs) on Saturday in London. The Briton claims that the fight with the Cameroonian is just a step towards winning him the championship belt.
“I play sports to fight with big names,” Joyce said. "I promise that I will reach all belts and carry out my plans! I want to fight Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua! I like the role of an underdog who makes a surprise. I will defeat Takama and knock him out, although I will not specify an exact round."
“When I thought that I would fight Usyk, I went to the gym and prepared for a southpaw, but boxing is unpredictable and you never know what will happen next. I kept myself in shape, refrained from donuts and beer, so I am in good shape. I trained like I was going to fight Usyk,” Joyce said.
