Jermell Charlo (34-1, 18 KOs) and Brian Castano (17-0-1, 12 KOs) hit the middleweight limit at the official weigh-in in San Antonio. Fighters will compete for WBA, WBO, WBC and IBF championship belts. Charlo was 153, Castano - 153.25.
Charlo, 30, had his last fight last September, defeating Jason Rosario by knockout. In this performance, the American unified three championship belts in 154.
In February, Castano defeated Patrick Teixeira on points in Indio to win the World Boxing Organization title. The Argentine has also held a WBA belt in the same weight class in the past.
