Deontay Wilder's (42-1-1, 41 KOs) team is still in good spirits, despite the change of the date of their fight against Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) for the WBC heavyweight belt. Yesterday the fight was officially postponed from July 24 to October 9.
“It is because of such situations that we needed an arbitration. Wilder wants what belongs to him. He will do it on October 9th. I'm sure Wilder will win by knockout,” Bronze Bomber manager Shelly Finkel said.
Coach Malik Scott also has a strong belief in his ward: “Fury is undefeated, but sensitive to punches. He hasn't lost yet, but he is defeated. And he can be hit. We must take advantage of this. I believe Wilder will handle it and win by knockout."
So far, bookmakers have practically not reacted to the information about Fury's covid and the postponement of the championship fight. The Briton is still the favorite with Wilder's odds of 1.3 and 3.5, respectively.
