Khabib: Makhachev to defeat both Poirier and Oliveira

Khabib Nurmagomedov, the former UFC lightweight champion, expressed confidence that his friend Islam Makhachev will be able to defeat Dustin Poirier and current lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.

“I am confident that he will be able to defeat Poirier. Perhaps Dustin will be upset, but I believe in it, he can stop him. He is able to destroy Charles Oliveira. We just need time. I think Islam can beat all these guys,” Nurmagomedov said.

Makhachev will have his next fight on July 18 against Thiago Moises.
