WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury admitted that after winning the rematch over Deontay Wilder, he had thoughts of suicide.
“After every extreme takeoff for me there is an ever lower drop. When I defeated Wilder, I returned home, and for the first ten days I only had suicidal thoughts. So it was a big fall for me. It took me two weeks to get well.
"After every incredible upsurge, a person like me who has patient-level mental health problems will always have a sharp drop. So the higher you go, the lower you fall. And this is one hundred percent true.
"But the main thing is to know how to deal with these problems and contain them. The word "restrain" is key here, because if you know yourself and know that in a few days everything will work out, then you will be fine," Tyson Fury said in an interview with Gareth Davis.
