Shelly Finkel: Wilder doesn't want to talk to Fury, he wants to fight him

Shelly Finkel and Deontay Wilder

Shelly Finkel told Sports Illustrated that he was not surprised by the behavior of Deontay Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs), who refused to answer media questions during a press conference announcing his third fight with ...

“Deontay just didn't want to engage in conversation with Fury at the press conference. All he thinks about now is a duel with Fury. He told me: “If Fury wants to talk, let him talk. I just want to fight,” explained the Bronze Bomber's manager.

“When I look at him now, I can see that he is focused on this duel. He trains the way I would like him to train earlier," Finkel added. "We thought that this fight would take place a few months earlier, but there was an arbitration dispute. All this time, Wilder has been training."

Fury and Wilder will fight on July 24 in Las Vegas. At stake in their meeting there will be the WBC heavyweight belt.
