Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) announced a day ago that he would like to weigh about 300 lbs before his July fight against Deontay Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs). Bronze Bomber trainer Malik Scott claims that his fighter is not worried about weight and does not suggest any specific tasks for his fighter in this regard.
“When Deontay weighed 209 pounds, he was able to send Fury to the floor, but Tyson stood up. When he weighed 230 pounds, we lost the rematch and there were problems in the fight. So it is not yet known,” Scott said.
Malik Scott took place of Mark Breland in Wilder's team, whom the former WBC champion accused of plotting in the rematch with the King of the Gypsies.
