Joyce to face Takam or Yoka in July

Carlos Takam (39-5-1, 28 KOs) and Tony Yoka (10-0, 8 KOs) named by Frank Warren as two main candidates for the fight against European heavyweight champion Joe Joyce (12-0, 11 KOs), who will return to the ring on 24 or 31 July in England.

Until recently, it seemed that Joyce crossed gloves with Alexander Usyk in a fight for the interim WBO world title. Ultimately, the Ukrainian will meet Anthony Joshua in late summer or early fall.

The European Boxing Union also announced the postponement of the June 14th bids for the fight of Joyce and Marco Huck. A new bidding date has not yet been set.
