Former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic may face former light heavyweight king John Jones in his next fight. This was stated by the head of the promotion Dana White.
“A lot of people didn't think Miocic was the greatest heavyweight. However, he is the greatest heavyweight in history, that's a fact. Let's see what will happen next. I like that there is a fire in him and he wants to fight. But yes, I think we could bring Stipe and John together,” White told ESPN.
Miocic lost by knockout to Francis Ngannou at UFC 260 on March 27 and lost his heavyweight championship belt.
Jones had his last fight last February, defeating Dominic Reyes in a close fight. After this meeting, John left the belt vacant and announced the transition to the heavyweight division.
