Bellator light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov has announced his readiness to begin negotiations with the UFC after the Grand Prix of his current promotion, in which he is participating.
“There is always a desire to go to the UFC. Again, when I had a fight with Bader, I knew that there would be a rematch with Davis and there was no further prospect in my weight, but now that Bellator has signed a lot of cool fighters in my weight, there is a prospect, there is the Grand Prix that needs to be passed... We'll see after the Grand Prix. Let's talk with Fedor [Emelianenko], we'll talk with Bellator. Let's see what they offer, and if there will be an offer from the UFC at all. It will be seen there,” Nemkov said.
On April 17, Nemkov defeated Phil Davis by unanimous decision.
