Eddie Hearn announced that Dillian Whyte (28-2, 19 KOs) will have two more professional bouts this year. The first will take place this summer in the United States. The British promoter would like Deontay Wilder to be his rival, but Whyte has doubts about this scenario.
āI donāt know if Wilder is training at all and is thinking of returning. He posts videos on social media about everything except boxing. I don't know if he will still fight,ā Whyte said.
Jermaine Franklin (20-0, 13 KOs) challenged the Briton. The 27-year-old American last fought in October 2019 and will return to the ring on April 22 against Stephen Shaw (14-0, 10 KOs).
Whyte recently reclaimed an interim WBC heavyweight title. However, the Englishman won't meet the full-fledged champion Tyson Fury in the nearest future, because Fury is planning a unification duel with Anthony Joshua.
