Edwards assesses Khabib's prospects in welterweight

Top British UFC welterweight Leon Edwards expressed confidence that the current "king" of the lightweight division Khabib Nurmagomedov could successfully compete in his weight category.

“Khabib would definitely be in the TOP-5 of the welterweight division. He's incredibly good. I've trained with him before, he's a great grappler and a strong guy. He's big enough for the welterweight division and I have no doubt he would have been successful in our weight class,"Edwards told reporters ahead of UFC Fight Night 187.

This weekend Edwards will have to fight Belal Muhammad.
