Beterbiev is ready to fight UFC champion by MMA rules

WBC and IBF light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev said that he is ready to fight according to the rules of mixed martial arts with the UFC champion, if he receives such an offer.

“From a sporting point of view, it would be interesting for me. MMA fighters are really cool guys. They are good at several martial arts, which is very cool. I have said more than once that it would be interesting for me to fight with their champion. I, the reigning world boxing champion, against the reigning MMA champion. But the fight will be held according to the rules of MMA, not boxing, so that everything is fair.

"I’m not wrestling very well, but I’ll ask George St. Pierre to help me. I talked to him, he agreed to pull up my wrestling," Beterbiev said in an interview with the True Gym MMA YouTube channel.

36-year-old Beterbiev last time fought in October 2019, knocking out Oleksandr Gvozdyk.
