The legendary Russian fighter of mixed martial arts Fedor Emelianenko told which of his former rivals he would like to meet again in the cage.
“Scott Cocker asked me a question about how I look at the fight with Werdum. I answered positively. If this fight is interesting for Bellator, then I would like to have it. But, either the promotion was not interested in this fight, or... there were attacks from Werdum or his entourage. I asked the question: “How so? They write that I allegedly refused, chickened out." And they answered me: “But we do not have a contract with him. When he signs the contract, then we will talk about this." I realized that this was chatter, drawing attention.
"I would like, of course, to get Ryan Bader as rivals. Mitrione? You can also name Mitrione. I would like to meet him,”44-year-old Emelianenko said in an interview with Okko Sport.
We will remind, in June 2010, Werdum shocked the world of mixed martial arts, having won against Emelianenko by submission in the first round.
As for Mitrione and Bader, Emelianenko lost to both by knockout - in 2017 and 2019, respectively.
