Claressa Shields (11-0, 2 KOs) is expected to change her weight class to welterweight soon. The 25-year-old American hopes that she will be able to receive the duel with Katie Taylor (17-0, 6 KOs) within the welterweight limit.

The American won the unification bout against Marie Yves Dicker last Friday, collecting all of the most important championship belts in the junior middleweight division. She has done the same at middleweights before and was the unified world super middleweight champion.

Shields plans to make her welterweight debut soon, with Jessica McCaskill and Cecilia Braekhus fighting for all the major titles this Saturday, the American has set her sights on the winner of this duel, and then looks forward to meeting with Katie Taylor.

Taylor owned the championship belts in the lightweight and super lightweight. Taylor is due to return to the ring on May 1 in a duel against Natasha Jonas.
