Eddie Hearn announced that he intends to make at least one evening a week under the Matchroom Boxing banner by the end of the year. The marathon kicks off on February 13 when former world featherweight champion Josh Warrington faces off against Mauricio Lara at Wembley Arena.

“Last year we lost a lot of time due to the pandemic. Now we see the light in the tunnel and we all hope that the fans will be back in the arenas soon. We will be ready for this. I want to organize at least one evening a week in different parts of the world by the end of the year,” the British promoter said.

Hearn currently has tournaments scheduled until the end of May. Matchroom will soon move to organizing events in new countries overseas for the first time, including Thailand and Uzbekistan. As before, they will be held in Italy and the USA.
