Pacquiao vs Garcia: official fight in the catchweight

Contrary to earlier reports, the fight of Ryan Garcia (21-0, 18 KOs) and Manny Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39 KOs) will not be an exhibition affair, but will be held according to the official rules.

Negotiations on the organization of this battle are still ongoing. Both fighters are interested in such a confrontation, and the fight could take place on April 24 or May 1. Garcia and Pacquiao are set to meet in the catchweight between super lightweight and welterweight.

Garcia is a lightweight, while Pacquiao has his last bouts in the welterweight division. If the parties reach a final agreement, this event will be shown on DAZN platform.

The 42-year-old Filipino hasn't entered the ring since July 2019, when he defeated Keith Thurman on points. Garcia's last fight took place on January 2, when he stopped Luke Campbell.
