Former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez is convinced that only he can create problems in the octagon for the current title holder Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“The fight with me is the only one that makes sense for Khabib, since only I can create difficulties for him. There is only one guy in the entire division that gave him problems - Glayson Tibau. The Brazilian gave him a tough fight as he was not particularly good in any aspect.
"I also have no strong points. I am not a great puncher, not a great wrestler, or a jiu-jitsu master. I am athletic, I have a strong spirit, a big heart, and I will fight until I die.
"Chibau had a great fight plan and probably won that fight. He could withstand the strengths of Khabib, nullify most of his efforts. This is what I have been able to do with almost every opponent I have fought. I think this fight would be special," the 37-year-old American said in an interview with Morning Kombat.
Alvarez left the UFC in 2018 and moved to the Singapore-based ONE Championship promotion.
