MacGregor or Poirier - the famous referee named the next UFC champion

Renowned referee and now analyst John McCarthy has spoken out on who will be the next UFC lightweight champion. According to John, Chandler, Oliveira, Hooker, Gaethje will be able to qualify for the belt. However, MacGregor or Poirier can actually win the title.

“I think the winner of the fight of Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier will be the champion,” McCarthy said.

McGregor and Poirier will have a rematch in January 2021.
