Felix Sturm (40-5-3, 18 KOs) is released and plans to return to the ring on December 19 at the boxing evening of the German promotional organization Universum. The venue and rival of the former world middleweight champion are still unknown.
The 41-year-old Shturm, who fought last time in February 2016, served a total of eighteen months behind bars for tax violations. In prison, the former champion monitored his physical condition and did six workouts a week.
The assault earned a prison sentence for several years of tax evasion. Felix was convicted of tax violations in 2008-10 and 2013. He was first arrested in this case last April, but released at the end of December after paying 300,000 euros in bail. The German got behind bars again in early 2020.
