Dillian Whyte has no doubts that Deontay Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs) did the wrong thing by parting ways with one of his coaches, Mark Breland, ahead of his third fight against Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs). The Bronze Bomber took great offense at Breland for throwing in the towel in the February duel against the King of the Gypsies.

"Wilder is an idiot," Whyte bluntly stated in an interview to Sky Sports. "Let him continue, he can do whatever he wants, but he made a big mistake. Breland was the only one in his team who really knew boxing."

“Only Breland really boxed and he was the only world champion. He was not worried about fame and money, he saw everything through the prism of emotions, because he understood what was happening, he was worried about Wilder's health and did the right thing by throwing in the towel, because otherwise something serious could have happened there,” added The Body Snatcher.

After Mark Breland's dismissal, Deontay Wilder continues training with Jay Dease, with whom he has been working since the amateurs. The former WBC heavyweight champion team also includes Malik Scott.
