Chris Byrd, 50, wants to box again. The former WBO and IBF Heavyweight Champion posted a photo of himself on Instagram announcing his return to the ring, interestingly, in the middleweight division.

“11 years of chronic pain, cannabis, vegan diet, personal development, and I'm back! I am ready to fight and I am in the best shape in my entire life. Reflexes, speed and strength are better now than in my best times, and I'm 50! Beware of this old man! I was once told that I was too light, and I became world heavyweight champion twice, proving that they were wrong. Vitali Klitschko was 40 pounds heavier than me! Now they will say that I am too old, and again I will prove they are wrong!" Chris Byrd said.

Byrd last fought in 2009 in the cruiserweight division. He had previously tried his hand at light heavyweight without success.
