On October 24 Gervonta Davis (23-0, 22 KOs) will face Leo Santa Cruz (37-1-1, 19 KOs) on Showtime. The duel will be shown in the United States on Pay-Per-View.

31-year-old Santa Cruz, world champion in four different weight classes, last fought in November. Davis made his lightweight debut in December by defeating Yuriorkis Gamboa to win the WBA regular belt.

Talks about the possibility of concluding a contract for this fight have been going on for the past several months. Davis' meeting with Santa Cruz will be the main event of the boxing night in Uncasville, Connecticut.
