Chayaphon Moonsri (54-0, 18 KO), known in the boxing ring as Wanheng Menayothin, not so long ago announced his retirement, but then, allegedly, changed his mind. He will continue to compete and will now go to conquer America.

The Thai boxer, who will soon turn 35, owns the WBC belt in the lightest category the minimum weight, with a limit of only 105 pounds. Golden Boy Promotions convinced the boxer to pursue a career and try his hand at the American market. It is worth noting that the champion has not yet fought outside his home country.

“We want to bring him to the US and show people how talented he is. First, we will find him the date of the battle, and then we will look for the opponent. Fans will be delighted to see him in action,” said Eric Gomez, the president of GBP.
