IFL TV's latest interview with Eddie Hearn, released Friday, is full of controversial statements from the head of Matchroom, arguably the most dynamic boxing promoter of the decade. Hearn showed, among other things, his superpowers, monopolistic ambitions and stated that professional women's boxing is a serious competition for men's boxing.

“Now I am driven by my desire to control boxing. I want to control the sport globally and run it like the dominant UFC organization. If someone says that I will fail... Let's see who was right. I'm the right person for the job, I'm the only one who can do it,” Hearn said.

“Women's boxing is a threat to men's boxing. People will listen to me and say that this is nonsense, but I'm telling you this today: if women's boxing continues to evolve the way it does now, don't be surprised at the regular performance of women in the main fights of the evening and their big confrontations at PPV in the future," the boss of Matchroom said.
