Puerto Rican Felix El Diamante Verdejo (26-1, 16 KOs) and unbeaten American Will Madera (15-0-3, 8 KOs) underwent the official weigh-in procedure ahead of their 10-round lightweight bout, which will be the main event of the next Top Rank event at the MGM Grand Bubble in Las Vegas. Felix Verdejo was 135.9 and Will Madera was 135.8 pounds.
In the US the boxing evening will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN Deportes, starting at 8 pm ET.
Verdejo will be looking for his fourth straight win after a sensational TKO loss in 2018 to Antonio Losada Jr. Puerto Rican Verdejo has now moved to Las Vegas and is training under the guidance of the famous coach Miguel Salas. The participant of the 2012 Olympic Games had his last fight in January, when he defeated Manuel Rey Rojas on points.
Madera was able to loudly declare himself in February 2019, when he defeated the previously undefeated Thomas Matisse on points. Since defeating Matisse, Madera has scored two wins and one draw, including a second-round TKO win over Edgar Ramirez in January this year.
