Alvarez team looks for the cheapest opponent

Soon the name of the next opponent of Saul Alvarez (53-1-2, 36 KOs), who will return to the ring on September 14 in the United States, will be announced. The financial problems of the DAZN platform are forcing the Mexican team to look for the cheapest opponent.

Representatives of the Golden Boy Promotions said that among potential rivals there are also Jason Quigley (18-1, 14 KOs) and Tureano Johnson (21-2-1, 15 KOs). Both are under contract with Oscar De La Hoya and have expressed desire to cross gloves with Canelo.

Alvarez also agreed to trim his purse. The Mexican boxer is expected to earn at least $10 million less than what is stated in his contract with DAZN.
